Ron English, Richard Coleman, and Jim Hauser Tonight

Andres finished assmebling Richard Coleman's painting ensemble last night. Here's how it was created:

Coleman created a painting, made an enlarged print of it, cut the print into 6x6 size squares, painted it following the original image, and arranged the squares in the way he saw the original in his mind.

You pretty much have to come to the exhibit just to see that. On the other side of the gallery space you have Ron English, who has created a new body of work comprised of detailed classical paintings replicating works by Grecian and Byznatine artists.... with Kiss makeup. Jim Hauser's installation in the back of White Walls adds the perfect balance for those wanting something more accessible.
