After a long taxi ride to the Museo de Arte Moderno, I arrived only to be greeted by a construction worker telling me, "Esta cerrado." and for how long? Two months or years? I am not sure about the opening date, but I was bummed and not sure where to go. Fortunately, it only took a block of aimless sweaty wandering before I found a comfortable local gallery for emerging artists.




There were great paintings from people around 30 years old! This area of San Telmo (close to La Boca) reminded me of the Mission in San Francisco, due to its scattering of galleries. Above is a piece by the artist, Mendez, represented in the gallery.
