Adaptación Orilla

Artist: Florencia Rodriguez Giles
Gallery: Ruth Benzacar
Exhibit Dates: March 28, 2007- April 28, 2007

Bummed I missed this exhibit last April. But wanted to share images of the artist's work.

I like how these photographs are staged and really depict a story through the contrasting light and dark.

The use of windows or doors paired with the intense natural light provides a transcendent element or idea.

Body language to takes the lead in expressing emotion, with the dramatic poses and limit to visual detail.

I love old houses and buildings. They have such odd shapes and unpredictable ways. This group of photographs is like something from your imagination, of what could or does exist, in broken down places.
