Deth P. Sun at Rowan Morrison

This Too Shall Pass: new work by Deth P. Sun

Pete over at Rowan Morrison just sent me the skinny of Deth's show opening tomorrow night. I'll be having a grand ol time at The Shooting Gallery for Van Arno's opening but if you're sticking to the east bay you should swing by Rowan Morrison for this stunner.

The show features 200 new paintings from Oakland artist Deth P. Sun. We just installed the show today and it looks amazing. Over 150 small, affordable paintings as mounted into a giant grid, with intersecting characters, themes, narratives, and mythic symbols. Lots of other works that depict the continuing epic journey of Deth’s world of cats, turtles, wolves, ghosts, mountains, oceans, and tasty treats.
Deth will also have some of his awesome products for sale at the show, such as his new beer cozy, some screenprints, and a brand new zine to go with the exhibition.
The show opens Saturday, January 10th, with an artist’s reception from 7-10pm. There will be beer.
The exhibition runs until February 14th (Wed – Sat : 11-6)
