First Fridays April 2008

Last night's art exhibits were a great example of the cross sections existing in San Francisco right now.

I was most overwhelmed by Bernadette's exhibit at David Cunningham Gallery, which was my third stop. Someone made the comment that when she walked into the gallery, she immediately felt a sense of fragility. The atmosphere of the exhibit was tranquil and rooted. I recommend reading the poem, "Death Fugue," by Paul Celan, which influenced Bernadette midway in the process of creating this installation.

Tonight will be another grande art adventure. I'm especially looking forward to the video installation at Ghost and Bread.
